It’s a new month! That means it’s time for another New York & Company Style Challenge!!! This month’s style challenge features these super cute floral print shorts.
One Piece, Multiple Ways
Just in case you’re new to my blog, let me explain the New York & Company Style Challenge. Every month Priiincesss of I am Priiincesss, Nelle of Embracingnelle, and I style a specific piece from New York & Company three different ways. I’m always stressing the importance of versatility in the pieces that I purchase, so I love the idea of styling one piece multiple ways.
What’s A Statement Piece
One of the things I love about New York & Company is that they have so many amazing statement pieces with bold prints! As a matter of fact, most of their clothes are statement pieces. A statement piece is that one piece of your outfit that is interesting, attractive, bold and/or eye-catching. It’s the first thing people notice about your outfit.
The Perfect Statement Piece
These floral print shorts are the perfect statement piece. They have multiple colors (baby pink, red, mustard yellow, green, baby blue, and of course white) in the prints which means that it can be styled with an array of tops, shoes, bags, and accessories.
How I Styled Them
As you can see, I styled my shorts with this romantic white top (also from New York & Company). And to bring out some of the colors in the shorts, I added my red heels and my favorite mustard yellow Steve Madden mini bag. Lastly, to top it off, I threw on my favorite red lippie M.A.C. Ruby Woo!
I’m in love with this outfit! It definitely gives me island vibes!
The style name of these shorts is Floral & Dot-Print Madie Short – 7th Avenue on New York & Company’s website. If you want them, head to New York & Company’s website quickly, because they are on sale! And order one size up, they run small.
I can’t wait to see the rest of the ladies’ looks for the style challenge. Tomorrow, I will be doing a recap of all of our looks with these shorts on I Am Priiincesss as well. Stay tuned!
