Happy 1st Day of July y’all!
Most who know me can attest to the fact that New York & Company is, and has always been one of my FAVORITE stores. My mother introduced me to this fabulous store when I was younger and now as an adult, I go there to shop for myself. New York & Company has pieces for everyone. Whether you’re looking for a matching blazer and pants suit for the office, a cute dress for girls night out, or a pair of jeans for a casual look, New York & Company has you covered. Plus, I love the fact that they’re always having a sale (my top is now $16) and if you sign up to receive emails from them, you’ll get really good coupons too.
So, when my blogging coach, Priiincesss, asked me about do a monthly challenge wearing New York & Company pieces, I couldn’t turn it down. Every month Priiincesss, Nelle of Embracingnelle, and I will be styling a specific piece from New York & Company three different ways. I’m always stressing the importance of versatility in the pieces that I purchase, so I love the idea of styling one piece multiple ways.
The first piece that we chose was this cute red and white striped blouse. Priiincesss had already purchased this blouse a while ago to shoot for her blog. However, when I saw it on her, I knew that this would be the perfect piece to start our New York & Company Style Challenge. I mean, you can’t go wrong with a striped top. It’s a closet essential for sure.
Y’all know that my personal style is very simple and minimal; which is why I already knew that I would style this top with a cute pair of jeans. I then matched my red heels and red crossbody with the blouse to create a cute, casual, and chic look.
My girl, Priiincesss, went with the mixed prints approach, and I love it! We both let our personalities shine through with this challenge. Head on over to I Am Priiincesss and Embracingnelle to check out their posts as well. Tomorrow, I will be doing a recap of all of our looks with this top on I Am Priiincesss as well. Stay tuned
